"Made of metal, and it glitters, dear? Is it a necklace?" He grins a bit, sitting on the ground beside her.
"Not quite," Cal’mai turns a small wrapped box over in her hands. Her tone of voice was playful, if a little silly. "It’s related to ears, if that helps."
She took a moment to slide herself up next to him and grin, passing the object to him. “It’s a bit early for Winter Veil, but consider this just a little preview, my Firefly. There’s no-one else I’d like to shower with gifts.”
"Earrings!?" He opened the box excitedly, a wide grin on his face. "Oh, my dove, you shouldn’t have!"
"Ear cuffs, actually. My friend helped me make them."
They were golden and seemed to shimmer when light touched them, changing color through the rainbow. They looked like wings, with flaring feathers, at least long enough to cover most of the ear.
"I hope they fit. I wasn’t quite sure exactly how long your ears were. But I wanted to make something nice for you." She looked just so pleased with herself.
"Oh, they’re beautiful!"
Kalath set the box aside to pull the beastmaster into his arms. “Thank you, my dove. Thank you so, so much! I’ll have to do something wonderful for Winter’s Veil for you!”
She almost seemed bashful, ears tilting down to the sides as she fiddled with her hands, laughing softly to herself as she buried her face in his chest.
"Well, if you want to, that would be nice. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten winter veil gifts very often. Not too surprising since it’s a human holiday, but it’s one I really love anyway and…"
"… I’m rambling. Try them on, I want to see how they look on you."
